Camp Sloggett (YMCA)

Located in the lush, cool Kokee State Park, this Campground is great for getting away. No cell service, no distractions, plenty of nature and great star gazing on clear nights! Does get chilly at nights because of the elevation, but hot showers help and the large fire pit will keep you plenty warm at night.  They don’t really do advance reservations for individual campers, but if you give them a call (808-245-5959) a day or two before you are headed that way they should be able to tell you their availability. 

Camp Sloggett is nice because it is often used as a retreat for Girl Scouts, church groups and other youth groups. When you stay there you help support the campground for all of them, and you may also enjoy the extra care that is put into the grounds.
